Do you ever feel like your ADHD is holding you back? Are you tired of feeling like a failure because of your struggles? As a woman with ADHD, I understand the pain and frustration that comes with feeling like you can’t keep up with everyone else. But I’m here to remind you that in your weakness, He is strong.
It’s Okay to Feel Overwhelmed
Living with ADHD can be overwhelming, but it’s important to remember that you’re not alone in your struggles. It’s okay to feel like you do not measure up to the expectations of others or even yourself. We often feel like we have to prove ourselves, but in reality, we need to give ourselves grace and acknowledge that we have limitations. Recognizing our limitations helps us be more aware of our weaknesses and more attuned to the ways in which the Holy Spirit can show Himself strong in that area.
As a woman with ADHD, I have struggled with feeling like I’m not good enough. I’ve tried to fit into the mold of what society says is “normal,” but it always ends up in disappointment. As a Christian with ADHD, it can be even more difficult not to feel as if you are falling short. However, I’ve come to realize that my ADHD is a part of who I am, and I shouldn’t be ashamed of it.
Call to Action: If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your ADHD, take a moment to breathe and remind yourself that it’s okay to ask for help. Reach out to a friend, family member, or therapist who can support you through your struggles.
Finding Strength in Weakness
Although it may seem counterintuitive, our weaknesses can actually be our greatest strengths. In 2 Corinthians 12:10 (NLT), it says, “That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
When we acknowledge our weaknesses and give them to God, we allow Him to work through us in a way that we never could on our own. Our weaknesses become opportunities for God to show His strength and power in our lives. So instead of trying to hide our weaknesses, let’s embrace them and give them to God.
Call to Action: If you’re struggling with your weaknesses, take some time to reflect on how God can use them for His glory. Pray and ask Him to show you His strength in your weaknesses. And remember that you don’t have to do it alone.
Living with ADHD can be challenging, but it’s important to remember that you are not defined by your weaknesses. In fact, your weaknesses can be an opportunity for God to show His strength and power in your life. So the next time you feel overwhelmed or inadequate, remember that in your weakness, He is strong.
