Becoming Her: Rooted, Restored & Released
There is a moment in your journey where everything feels still. Not peaceful, not settled, just… stuck.
You have prayed, you have shown up, you have done the work, and yet nothing seems to be moving. If you are honest, part of you has started to wonder if you missed something, or worse, if you did something wrong. What if this is not a lack of progress?
What if what feels like “stuck” is actually God refining you, preparing you for something you are not quite ready to experience yet?
Why You Feel Stuck, But You’re Actually Being Refined (Rooted)
In seasons like this, the tension is not just external; it is internal. You begin to question yourself. You revisit decisions. You wonder if you should have moved differently, prayed harder, or responded better. And slowly, that quiet questioning can turn into an identity.
You start seeing yourself as the woman who cannot get it right, the woman who is always waiting, the woman who is not quite there yet. God is not reinforcing that identity. He is refining it.
He is gently removing what no longer aligns so that your identity is rooted in who He says you are, not in what this season feels like.
What God is Really Doing in This Season (Restored)
It is easy to look at past seasons and feel like something was taken from you.
There can be a quiet grief attached to time that did not go the way you expected, opportunities that did not unfold, or versions of yourself that you feel you lost along the way. Those thoughts can keep you anchored in what was rather than in what is being formed now.
God addresses this directly in Joel 2:25 when He promises to restore what was lost. His restoration is not limited to circumstances; it reaches into your identity.
He restores your confidence, your clarity, and your ability to move forward with intention. What you gained in the process, even in the hard moments, becomes part of what equips you for what is next. You are not starting over; you are moving forward with more than you had before.
You Can’t Stay Here (Released)
There comes a point in every refining season where the question is no longer, “What is God doing in me?” but “Am I willing to move with what He has done in me?” This is where many women hesitate.
Growth has taken place. Clarity has started to form. There is a deeper awareness of who you are and what no longer fits. Yet the familiar still tries to hold you in place. This is the moment where you have to recognize that you cannot stay here.
This space may have served a purpose. It may have been necessary for your healing, your growth, and your realignment. However, it was never meant to become your permanent place. God refines you so you can move differently, not so you can remain where you started.
How to Know It’s Time to Move
As you move through this process, there are signs that begin to surface, even if you cannot fully explain them yet.
You may notice that your thinking has shifted. The way you see yourself, your situation, and your future is no longer the same. What once felt acceptable now feels misaligned, and what once confused you is starting to make sense.
There is also a growing discomfort in staying where you are. Not because something is wrong, but because something in you has changed. That internal shift creates a tension between where you are and where you know you are being called to go.
Clarity may not come all at once, yet there is a quiet knowing that you cannot return to who you used to be. That awareness is not pressure; it is direction.
Becoming Her in Motion
You are not here by accident, and you are not leaving this season empty.
Becoming Her in this moment requires you to respond to what God has revealed. That means you no longer ignore the shifts in your thinking, the clarity you have gained, or the areas where you know change is necessary.
Identify one place where you have been hesitating. One decision, one action, or one step you have been avoiding. This week, move in that direction.
Not because you have everything figured out, but because you trust that what God has done in you is enough to take the next step.
Let’s Pray…
Heavenly Father, thank You for the work You are doing in me, even in the moments I do not fully understand. Thank You for reminding me that I am not stuck, I am being refined.
Help me to trust You in this process. When I feel uncertain, remind me that You are strengthening my foundation and preparing me for what is ahead. Give me clarity to recognize the growth that has taken place within me, and the courage to move forward in alignment with Your will.
Your Word says in Joel 2:25 that You will restore what was lost. I receive that promise, not only in what I see around me, but in who I am becoming through this process.
I surrender every fear, every hesitation, and every place where I have been holding back. Align my heart with Your direction, and help my “yes” match Your “go.”
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
